#Project365 week 3 days 11 to 17

It's week 3 of this years #Project365 and here are my photographs...

Day 11

Today I had a #mummyfail - we took the children into our local town with the promise of spending the vouchers they were given for Christmas, we parked up and walked through the bustling shopping centre to get to the Entertainer... which was closed! I hadn't even thought that shops still closed on Sundays! So instead we popped to Debenhams and I found some bargain John Rocha dresses for Elizabeth and I to wear for my brother in laws wedding in April.

Day 12

Cake! When my husband was ill with pneumonia over the festive period one of the things he was most upset about missing out on was his colleague's famous lemon drizzle cake! She very kindly made a loaf just for him this week and he brought some home to share... It was amazing and I've been nagging him to ask for the recipe every day since!

Day 13

Today was a tough one, especially the journey home so as soon as I got home I decided to treat my self to a delicious chocolate frog!

Day 14

Today is a big day on any bargain hunter's calender, it's the day that any gifts and toys left in the Boots' sale  get reduced even further to 70% off. Many die hard bargain queen's stayed up to the early hours and grabbed some fabulous deals online from Furby's to leappads, as I had to be up for work at 6am, I instead decided to use my lunch hour to pop in to the city centre store and I was rather pleased with my finds!

Day 15
This little cutie pie was a delight on the way home from nursery tonight and it occurred to me that today's date was etched on my mind as the deadline for her primary school application. I submitted the application last week and we'll find out the outcome in three months but I spent this evening thinking about how in eight months time my baby would be wearing a school uniform for the walk home!

Day 16

We did some baking this afternoon and this little one was very pleased with herself! Check out how our Terry's Chocolate Orange brownies turned out here.

Day 17

Today I had a rare treat! A bubble bath without the children! I had an hour with Stephen fry and these rubber ducks for company, it was bliss!

#Project365 Week 2 - Days 4-10

My second week of Project 365 and I'm still here! It's not been the most exciting of weeks to be honest and we've not been able to enjoy the outdoors as much as I would have liked but i'm looking forward to the weeks ahead when the days will get longer and lighter!

Day 4

I always put a scratchcard in each of our Christmas stockings (Yes Mr MMP and I still get stockings from Santa!) this year between us we won £30 so we decided to use it to treat ourselves to a meal out before we all went back to school and work. The children chose Toby Carvery and thoroughly enjoyed both their meals and their ice cream for dessert!

Day 5

It was a long day for all today. The first day of work, school and nursery of 2015 took it's toll on us all so we enjoyed a sweet story entitled 'How Elephants Lost Their Wings' from a new book followed by an early night.

Day 6

Despite having over 3 weeks to complete this task I left it to the last minute yet again and realising that Ben has his first Beavers meet of the year tomorrow I got my needle and thread out ready to sew on six new badges to his uniform.

Day 7

Today after work I had a play with one of our new Christmas presents, the Amazon Prime TV. As well as the obvious benefits of being able to watch a great selection of Prime movies and TV series on our actual TV rather than just the laptop, I was really impressed with the other features including the photo cloud that allows me to upload my favourite photos to be a screensaver on our TV! The children  love the easy access to games and some of their favourite TV shows.

Day 8

Today was the last nursery day of the week for Elizabeth and although she really enjoyed being back and spending time with her friends, it was clear that the first week in had tired her out. Before we'd even finished reading the bedtime story she as fast asleep!

Day 9

Refreshed after a good nights sleep this little one really enjoyed walking through the park to take her brother to school this morning and found lots of puddles to jump in!

Day 10

Today was the first birthday party of the new year and of course it was Frozen themed! Elizabeth dressed as Anna but insisted on having Elsa facepaint! She loved the frozen themed bouncycastle and had a fabulous time! Next party... tomorrow!

#project365 Week 1

So it's the start of a new year and I have decided to take up the project 365 photo a day challenge again this year. I really loved taking part last year and continued to take pictures everyday but unfortunately couldn't find the time to post them and got too far behind. I have captured precious memories though and have enjoyed looking back on our year.

To make this year easier to keep on top of I will be sharing my pictures each day on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and will be posting a weekly round up on the blog, so here goes....

This week is a short one...

Day one

We had a relaxing New Year's Day playing games and having some quality family time together so both the children were shattered at bed time! They had just enough energy to snuggle up together for a bed time story. They chose the Wizard of OZ, one of the many new books that Father Christmas brought them this year!

Day Two

Elizabeth was back at nursery for the first time in nearly two weeks, she had a fun filled day of dressing up in lots of outfits and was very chatty on the way home! As soon as we got in she was straight to our dress up box and found this pink sparkly hat that we bought from Disney on ice, suits her I think!

Day Three

Ben is a LEGO addict and he got lots of new sets for Christmas including LEGO Castle and Ninjango. He was very excited when the latest edition of the LEGO Club Jr magazine came through the door and got stuck in straight away!

Day Four

Today I was in work, I hate working Saturdays as it really cuts into the time we spend together as a family but it did mean an extra day off in the week and also meant I got to see Spinningfields all lit up and sparkly probably for the last time before the decorations come down.

#365 #week14 Easter catch up!

On Monday I  posted my 365 photos from the week end and apologised, for not posting them daily, well I'm afraid I have another apology for you! I've been so busy enjoying the Easter holidays with the children that although I have been taking photos every day I just haven't had time to post each day, so here is a collage of my photos of the day for each day from Good Friday to now, we have had a fun filled week and i'll tell you more about each one below...

#88 - We had a lovely day at the Manchester Duck race in aid of Brainwave, this is my little Easter Bunny holding Daddy and Nanna's hand on the way to the race.

#89 - We had a fun day out at the brand new Dog Bowl  in Manchester City centre, Ben is getting really good at bowling and both the children beat me!

#90 - We had a lovely Easter Sunday visiting family in the morning and then exploring Heaton Park in the afternoon  and had a lovely ride on the old fashioned trams...

#91 - Monday was a restful day to recover from a busy weekend and get prepared for work on Tuesday and I was delighted to be able to dry Elizabeth's nappies on the line for the first time this year! There is just something beautiful about a line full of nappies!

#92 - I was very excited to come home from work to find the postman had delivered our copy of Maggy Woodly's Red Ted Art, we've had it on pre-order since December. We can't wait to get crafting

#93 - Today I just had to take a photograph of the beautiful sky when I stepped of my office, wish I hadn't been stuck inside all day!

#94 - Ben had an exciting day visiting #MOSI with Nanna and I was very pleased that they came to meet me for lunch at Bagel Nash just  round the corner from my office. My handsome boy gave me a gorgeous grn wen I walked in!

#95 - Ben had another fun day with Nanna and they did some baking, When I came home from work, this lovely chocolate krispie cake was thrust upon me with the words, 'I made you a heart shaped one Mummy, because I love you!' I think my heart melted!

#96 - Today we visited the Trafford Centre and had great fun taking part in the #LEGOyodabuild, Both the children really enjoyed helping to build a giant Yoda from LEGO and posing for photos with Lightsabers, but Ben's absolute part of the day was meeting Darth Vader! We also enjoyed the nice weather and went for yummy Cadwaller ice creams on the way home.

So that was my (slightly extended) week, I promise I will start posting the each day again tomorrow...
