I'm thrilled to announce that we will be taking part in a very special Twitter Party this Friday, joining Nick Jr and fellow bloggers to celebrate premier of a brand new series on Nick Jr!

The first episode of Blaze and the Monster Machines will be shown at 4pm and myself and some fellow bloggers will be hosting a 2 hour twitter part starting at 3.45pm! 

We have been sent some great goodies to have some fun experimenting with on Friday so watch out for our STEM activity based fun!

The coundown to Christmas is about to start...

So tomorrow is the 1st of December!! I cannot believe 2011 has flown by so quickly! So much has happened this year! My son Ben has started school, I have watched Elizabeth grow from a tiny baby into an adventurous little toddler with her own personality, and I have discovered and entered the blogosphere!

All that and more has happened yet I shocked to find that we are approaching Christmas already! Usually tonight I would be wrapping up little toys and sweets for Ben's beautiful wooden advent calendar ready for him to start opening in the morning! But this year like most of our other belongings, it is packed away in a box ready for our move next week. Ben is just as excited about his chocolate Peppa Pig calendar but to me it's just not the same!

Whether we're ready for it or not the countdown to Christmas will be starting tomorrow and while the children open a paper window to reveal a chocolate each day many companies are bringing you an advent of offers and competitions! So keep an eye on the facebook page and twitter feed where I will do my best to share any I find with you and if you see any I miss please share them with our community of 'penny pinching' mummies!

So what do you do to countdown down advent with your children? Do you have any family traditions/ Does anyone make there own 'advent calendars?

A little help needed please...

I absolutely love finding great offers and competitions and sharing them with you over on the facebook page and twitter feed, and at this time of year there are certainly lots of bargains and giveaways out there! I want to continue to share as many as I can with all you lovely Mymummyspennies readers, however I am going to be really busy over the next few weeks packing up our things, moving house and getting our new house ready in time for Christmas so I'm not going to be able to access the internet as much as usual.

So I was wondering if some of you lovely Mummies would like to help me out? It would be great if you could share any great bargains, deals or competitions (family relevant only please!) you come across in the next two weeks on the Mymummyspennies facebook page. Then when I do get online I can easily share these without having to go searching myself! This would help me to continue to make Mymummyspennies a fantastic moneysaving community that we can all benefit from!

Bank Holiday Fun at Legoland Discovery Centre Manchester
