#Project365 week 4 Days 18 - 24

Another week has passed and here are my pictures from the last seven days...

Day 18

Thor Marvel toy from Kinder Egg

Not a very exciting Sunday but Elizabeth was thrilled to find her second favourite Marvel character in her Kinder Egg treat!

Day 19

Eating Healthy - Pasta and Salad

It may be most of the way through January but I am starting to put my healthy eating plan in to motion and really enjoyed my delicious dinner tonight, filling 3/4 of my plate with salad and veggies.

Day 20

Frozen shoes featuring Anna and Elsa

The postman brought Elizabeth these new Frozen themed shoes featuring Anna and Elsa today, she was delighted and insisted on trying them on before bedtime!

Day 21

Eating Healthy - Greek Salad

Another food photo! I couldn't resist sharing the photograph of my dinner tonight, a simple but tasty salad of Feta, olives, rocket and cucumber... Yum!

Day 22

poorly little girl

This little one was poorly in nursery today. I was quite surprised to arrive to pick her up and be told that she had been quite sick earlier on in the day. I would have expected a call, even though I was at work I could have made some arrangements to pick her up earlier. We had a cuddly evening and an early night.

Day 23

National Trust Handbook 2015

Today the latest National Trust Handbook popped through our letterbox and I enjoyed flicking through and planning where we would visit when we holiday in Cornwall later this year.

Day 24

Cheeky Chap in Gap Sweater

Somebody looked very grown up today in his new GAP kids sweater, and he looked very relaxed lying across the fluffy rug!

A new Year, a New Challenge #Project365

A new year has started and to mark it I will be beginning a new photography challenge.

Project 365 is a challenge that I have attempted for the last two years and it is with regret that I have not completed a full year of daily photographs. However when I look back at the weeks that I have recorded in this way I value the memories that each image brings back to me and this is why I am starting this again.

I hope to progress further this year but if I don't complete it all, I will be happy to have at least tried again and to have these posts to look back on.

2015 Project 365

Day 1 01/01/2015

Today was a quiet day. We welcomed in the new year watching movies and eating the last of the Christmas goodies. I snapped this picture just before bedtime of my two little monsters in their new onesies.

Day 2 02/01/2015

Today is the last Friday before the school term begins again. It's not been much of a holiday for the children, we've all spend the majority of it under the weather and Christmas itself was overshadowed by Daddy being very ill with pneumonia. We decided to shake off the cobwebs by enjoying an afternoon of adventures in our local park. We took a walk around the lake, climbed trees, jumped off tree stumps and walked up to the temple. It was a lovely afternoon and a very difficult decision to choose just one photograph.

Day 3 03/01/2015

Today we traveled to visit my father, whom my children affectionately call 'Baldy Grandad'. He is recovering from a triple heart bypass in December and it saddens me that we have had to cancel our previous visits as we didn't want to pass on our ills. After catching up with family we visited a local lake to feed the ducks and enjoy the play area. Again choosing a single photograph today was a difficult choice.

#Project365 Week Eleven

Day 69

Today was an EPIC day!! It was our leg of the #Teamhonkrelay! We started early, collecting the baton at St Mary's Church from the very lovely Grumpyishmum who had taken it out on the town the previous night. Dressed as characters from our favourite Julia Donaldson Story, Room on the Broom, equipped with Broom, wand, hat and bow we flew over 4 miles (well walked...) through Prestwich Clough, Red Rose Forest and Giant Seat Wood to meet Euan from TheBrickCastle who then cycled over 8 miles to pass the baton on to fab bloggers Sim and Pippa!
After nipping home to change we had a taste for fresh air and decided to spend the afternoon enjoying the lovely weather at nearby Heaton Park. This is Elizabeth dressed as Frog holding the witch's wand and wearing hear Sport Relief sweatband! See a photo of us all dressed up here. You can still sponsor us over on the #Teamhonk Manchester page

Day 70

I had a day off today to catch up on some errands and enjoyed a leisurely walk in the sunshine to pick up the children.

Day 71

Another sunny day! This is Elizabeth on the way home from nursery after a day of playing outside!

Day 72

Easter eggs on the shelves!

Day 73

Today mainly involved me getting ready for my interview tomorrow, I rushed to the chemist just before it closed to grab some Bach Rescue Remedy for my nerves...

Day 74

Today was the day of my interview, I can't remember much else to be honest as it was a bit of a whirl, I don't really know how it went but will find out next week. The bedtime story of choice tonight was Dinosaurs love Underpants... A new favourite in our house I think!

Day 75

It's been quite an exhausting week so after Baby Ballet class this morning we decided to have a chilled out day with some arts and crafts then some baking. These are the vanilla cupcakes the children and I made, they were delicious!

#Project365 Week Ten

Day 61

On Sunday we spent the morning visiting family, came home to do some Hama Bead crafting which the children really enjoyed. It was the first time my 3 year old Elizabeth had had the concentration to complete a peg board and this rainbow star was her finished creation! As well as having fun, we counted with the beads and identified the colours. A really great Sunday afternoon!

Day 62

Elizabeth has misplaced her favourite bedtime companion a few days ago so when I sorted out some washing and came across the missing soft toy, snowy the dog, I couldn't resist popping in and reuniting them. This photograph is also significant as it is the last time that Elizabeth has gone to sleep with Dodi!

Day 63

Today was Shrove Tuesday so we made pancakes! They were yummy!

Day 64

Tomorrow is #Worldbookday and Elizabeth was meant to be the frog from Room on the broom but her costume didn't arrive on time, so Mummy had to sort something last minute! I turned her Hama Bead star from Sunday into a wand, made a bow for her hair, cut a cape out of an old cardi of mine and put it over her halloween costume... Ta da! She was now Witch from Room on the broom! We had a quick practice tonight and she was all ready for tomorrow!

Day 65

Today I took a half day leave from work and came home to bake! I am hosting a charity bake sale in the office tomorrow so need to bake up a storm!

Day 67

Today was the bakesale for #teamhonkrelay! I am thrilled to say that we raised £144 taking the Team Honk total to over £22k!!! Amazing! You can help add to to it here.

Day 68

After Ballet this morning we went round to visit the grandparents and Elizabeth helped Daddy wash the cars, however I think she got a bit confused and thought she was having a wash, she was dripping wet from head to toe!!

#Project365 Week Nine

Day 54

After some fun in the park this morning we went to see the new LEGO movie! This isn't a great picture as it was dark, but I love the way all three of them are so engrossed in both the movie and their popcorn!!

Day 55

Today I was back at work but Ben had another day off school due to teacher training so he and Nanna came into the city centre to the football Museum, they had a great time and I was very pleased to meet them for a bagel on my lunch break. Can you tell he had Nutella on his?!

Day 56

Ben was really proud to get his Bronze reading certificate today, showing that he has read 50 books so far this school year!

Day 57

I looked up in the sky on the way home from work and saw this cloud formation! Do you see a butterfly too?

Day 58

You may have noticed chocolate makes a regular appearance in my 365 pictures! So today some chocolate arrived in the post...

Day 59

A big box of Hama Beads arrived in the post today, we can't wait to get crafty with them!

Day 60

Today was the day of my Brother in Law's wedding it was a truly lovey day and the bride looked beautiful. My two monsters scrubbed up quite well too!

#Project365 Week Five

Day 26

Today was a family day full of cuddles together on the couch and catching up with some homework practice, I love today's picture of Ben, Elizabeth and Minnie all piled on Daddy!

Day 27

A long day in work. Chocolate was needed and it came in the form of Green & Blacks mini's; a third off at Waitrose...

Day 28

After work today was Date Night! I had some time to kill before my husband got to the City Centre so I decided to 'window shop ' the House of Fraser Sale.... This may not have been a great idea as I ended up coming away with 3 Dickens & Jones dresses. They are are beautiful but I can only afford to keep one, I'm still deciding which one!
We had a lovely meal at Olive Manchester and then went to see 12 Years a Slave at the Cinema, a very moving film that had me in tears throughout.

Day 29

On Wednesday evenings Ben goes to Beavers so I had some Mummy and Daughter time with Elizabeth, we played with Duplo, read some stories and had a dance, Elizabeth was all dressed up like a little ladybug and I couldn't resist capturing this photo of her admiring her wellies.

Day 30

My new toy arrived today! I have been researching and agonising for weeks over this purchase. I really want to improve my photography skills this year so I wanted a camera that would let me have more control than the iphone and point and shoot that I currently use. Although I would have loved a DSLR I had to be realistic about how far my budget would stretch and factor in the cost of extra lenses, I also wanted something that I could easily carry with me on days out so I finally settled on the Nikon P520 Bridge. I'm a bit scared really looking forward to learning how to use it properly!

Day 31

Elizabeth made this Chinese New Year card in Nursery today, she was very proud of it and delighted to have stir fry and noodles for dinner!

Day 32

We got up early for Baby Ballet today then had a movie day with a living room picnic (blanket and all) we watched Cars 2 and The Little Mermaid. I thought Elizabeth looked adorable in her ballet outfit and Ladybug Wellies so couldn't resist getting this shot of her knocking on the front door for Daddy as I'd forgotton my key!

#project365 Week Four

#project365 week 4

I feel like I've been a bit of a let down with #project365 this week as it's mainly been about working, both with the day job and traveling to Birmingham to cover an event for the blog.

Day 19

Today was so much fun! We visited Delamere forest, our local forestry commission site and followed The Stickman Trail, the children really enjoyed it and we all had great fun jumping in muddy puddles! Today's picture is of Daddy and Elizabeth enjoying a yummy 'the works' hot chocolate to warm up at the end of our walk!

Day 20

At bedtime tonight Elizabeth chose a story about Dragons from a book Ben was given at Christmas, she loved the story but disagreed with the book title! Books are for Girls AND Boys!

Day 21

The highlight of my day today was finding these yummy Jaffa Cake muffins in the shop by work!

Day 22

Elizabeth was thrilled to come home from nursery today to find her brand new book case filled books and toys!

Day 23

Today was an interesting day! I visited Birmingham for the first time to take park in a first time buyer event asking questions to a panel of experts including Channel 4's Restoration Man: George Clarke! I then met up with the very lovely Carly from Mummy and the Chunks for Pizza and Mocktails!

Day 24

An early start and a late finish today but I was pleased to start it off by enjoying this scrummy salted caramel muffin from Costa on the train home from Birmingham

Day 25

Today I worked all day, getting home just in time for cuddles and a bedtime story.
