Top tips for the perfect Family Movie night!

When the nights are dark and cold, there's something really comforting about snuggling up under a blanket with the family and watching a good movie or two.

To celebrate The LEGO Batman Movie hitting the cinemas this weekend, the lovely folks at Warner Bros have asked me to share my top tips for a perfect family movie night.

Choose a theme!

Kids love a theme, so why not go all out? Get them to choose a movie or even a genre and dress up, do some crafts together such as making Batman masks or draw pictures of their favourite superheros.

Prepare snacks together!

A great tie in to the movie night theme is to prepare some themed snacks together! Why not bake a decorate some LEGO cupcakes, make sandwiches shaped like LEGO bricks or   Or even just colour in some cardboard popcorn holders?

Get Comfy!

Why not make movie night extra special by making a den to watch it from? Get together some bean bags or couch cushions on the floor cover in blankets and snuggle up together!

Turn off the tech!

It an obvious one but sometimes it just needs to be said, switch off your phones, laptops and tablets to get into the spirit of family time and watch the movie with your children. It may not be the most exciting thong to watch for grown ups but at least you'll be ale to chat to them about it fterwards and they'll kow you were paying attention!

Scooby Doo - Mask of the Blue Falcon Review

The lovely Warner Bros sent us the new Scooby Doo Movie, Scooby Doo - Mask of the Blue Falcon and Ben was very excited when it arrived! Being a big Scooby fan he couldn't wait to watch it...

As well as the DVD the pack contained the code for the UV copy which we were able to use to download the movie through Flixter. This was very handy as last Saturday we had to make the journey to Liverpool to visit some family and like most 5 year old Ben gets rather bored in the car for long periods of time (despite many games of I spy and car snap!) So thanks to Warner Bros, instead of being bored and whiny he happily spent the time watching the latest Scooby Doo movie on the Kindle Fire.

We could hear his giggles throughout and it kept him thoroughly entertained!

The adventures of mystery Inc return in this adventure where Scooby and the gang are attending a gigantic comic book convention and a real life comic book villain attacks! Now they have to solve the mystery before the villain ruins the convention and a big comic book movie premier!!

Full of mystery and intrigue Scooby Doo and friends entertains the whole family even those of us who remember the original series from our own childhood!
