Santa and Sledging at The Chill Factore!

Last week we were lucky enough to be invited to Visit Father Christmas at his Grotto hidden in the REAL snow at The Chill Factore in Manchester.  We live quite close to the Chill Factore and have been wanting to check it out for a while so were very excited! The visit to the Grotto was the perfect introduction and after trying out the sledging Ben (and Daddy) can't wait to go back, I think i'll have to try the sledging myself next time too!

The sledging experience was for ages four plus so Daddy went with Ben to enjoy that while Myself and our 2 year old daughter Elizabeth had fun in the 'snow play' and afterwards we got to visit Father Christmas in his special grotto amongst the snow! We even got to meet Peppa Pig while we were waiting to see 'the man in red', and although she was rather big and they were slightly overwhelmed at the time, everyone we met for days afterwards were regaled with tales of how we had met Peppa!

The whole experience was amazing, even though Elizabeth was too young for the sledging we didn't feel 'left out' in any way as the 'snow play' area was ideal for the younger ones to enjoy, complete with a mini tubing slope, ride on penguins and more...

And I have to tell you a little secret....

Do you promise not to tell?

Well...

I happen to have it on very good authority (from the lips of my 5 year old son no less) that the Father Christmas that we visited at the Chill Factore's Santa's Grotto wasn't like all the other's 'pretending' to be Santa, he was actually the 'real deal' and he lived in the Snow!

I don't think I need to say much more! Ben was totally convinced by 'Santa' who was friendly and took his time chatting to us all, before giving both our little ones a lovely token gift. (Toy bikes for Ben and a cute little teddy for Elizabeth).

Now you're probably wondering how much this experience will cost you? I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised that the Snowplay and Santa package was just £12 for a family of two and Sledging and Santa was just £35 for two. Although gifts are included if you would like a photo to capture the magical day then these are extra. If you want an authentic Santa visit with that extra bit of magic in Manchester then this is the experience for you!

  2. Hi Allison, As we were reviewing we were kindly allowed to take own pictures so I'm not sure but as far as I'm aware the photo options are Snowglobe, Keyring, Magnet or Christmas Tree Bauble. Hope you have great time!
