Last year my son and I took part in Cancer Research UK's race for life in Heaton Park, we walked a very emotional journey that you can read about here. It was only 5k but it wasn't a 'walk in the park' (Well technically it was a walk in our local park, but you know what I mean!) We were very proud of ourselves and delighted to have raised £267 for Cancer Research, including a generous donation from Scottish Power.
This year Scottish Power have again offered to sponsor me to take part in the race which is happening at Heaton Park in Manchester next Sunday, the 13th July! This year I'll be walking along side my mum who sadly lost her best friend to breast cancer almost 5 years ago.
We will be taking part in the Scottish Power High 5 Wave to help raise £30k for Cancer Research UK. Check out the #high5wave hashtag on twitter and instagram.
We have decided to try and beat last year's fundraising total and have set a target of £300!
Now comes the begging part...
If I have saved you money over the years by sharing discount codes or bargains I would really appreciate it if your would consider donating some of that to support us. Every penny counts and even if you were able to donate just £1 It will put a smile on our faces as we are taking part in the race next week...
Click here or the button below to donate...
Or you can Text MYMP99 £3 to 70070 to donate £3 by text (or change the £3 to what ever amount you like.)
Thank you so much if you have donated, I would love it if you could click on share at the bottom of the page and spread the work on facebook and twitter too!
