Serenz Hayfever Treatment Review #Serenz

I've suffered with hayfever (Allergic rhinitis) since childhood, some years are better that others but I've become used to warm, sunny days meaning a streaming nose and red, puffy eyes. I've grown accustomed to carrying round a minimum of two packets of tissues in my handbag and regularly having to reapply my make up.

There are plenty of products out there that claim to help with the symptoms of hayfever and I'm sure I've tried most of them over the years! Some do help to ease the symptoms but often have other side effects such as drowsiness, or take a good while to kick in and have to be taken well in advance of symptoms appearing, which isn't great when I start work at 8am and need to be able to concentrate without constantly blowing my nose and tears streaming down my face.

I was recently offered the chance to try out a new hayfever relief treatment that is different to others on the market.

This is what Serenz has to say about their product:

Serenz is a natural allergy relief product, clinically proven to start working in minutes. As the first allergy product to use carbon dioxide for drip-free relief from nasal allergy symptoms, Serenz works quickly without causing drowsiness.

How does it work?

Serenz is a hand held device that uses pressurised carbon dioxide (CO2) to cleanse the nasal passages. this can relief the nasal symptoms of allergies without causing drowsiness or the need for steroids. It doesn't require a prescription and comes with clear instructions that are simple to follow. It is only recommended for use by adults age 18 plus.

The inhaler comes with a small blue paddle which you insert into the bottom of the unit before use and turn 180 degrees. You then insert the top of the Serenz into your nostril forming a vacuum, press and hold the blue button for ten seconds and then repeat with the other nostril. It's important that you don't breathe through your nose while using it so you can either hold your breath or breathe through your mouth.

I've been trying out Serenz for just under a week now and I'm impressed with the rapidness of the relief it brings. I do find that that I get an uncomfortable sensation and watering eyes while using it but it's bearable and I can certainly see a improvement in my nasal symptoms immediately after use.

There are a number of benefits to Serenz, it's easy to carry round with you, can be used as and when without needing to plan ahead and provides rapid relief. I did experience a reduction in my nasal symptoms for a period of time and although they came back later in the day I was able to use it again as it is natural and does not contain medication.

Serenz is available from Weldricks Pharmacy priced at £19.90, which will provide 40 x ten second treatments. This isn't a budget option but I find that most effective allergy relief treatments are expensive, and I would rather spend money on a product that works that end up spending more buying several cheaper options that are ineffective.

I was sent this product and asked to provide an honest review.  All thoughts and images are my own.
