Bank Holiday Fun in the North West...

Can you believe it's almost May? This year is going so quickly, it feels like it will be the summer holidays before we know it! Anyway the May Day bank holiday weekend is approaching and there is lots on around the North West to help you entertain your family come rain or shine!

I thought i'd share with you my picks for some family fun this weekend...

Tudors on Tour

Celebrate King Henry VIII’s arrival at Tatton Park from Hampton Court Palace at the un-missable Tudors on Tour. Presented by Historic Royal Palaces, this fabulous family festival brings to life the magnificence and splendour of the King’s travelling court and his Royal Progress through a spectacular mix of jousting, feasting and royal entertainment, plus a cutting edge 360 degree digital pop-up palace. Tickets include exclusive access to the festival and all the royal activities taking place, including your chance to get involved with all things Tudor; live performances, Tudor crafts and games, Tudor farm, Tudor food and drink, music, dance and soft play. Visit hrp.org.uk/tudorsontour to find out more about all the exciting elements of the day. Tickets booked in advance are cheaper, just £30 for a family of up to 2 adults and 3 children. Under 5s go free. We'll be going on Monday and will come back and share our thoughts.

Food Festival at the Lowry

The Lowry Outlet Food Festival is back! We visited last year and this time it's set to be even better than ever before. This FREE to enter event is an ideal bank holiday day out for the whole family, filled with fun and food!

Over the three day weekend, live entertainment is accompanied over 100 stalls offering a whole range of irresistible food and drink. There will be exclusive demos from top TV chef Paul Hollywood and Kids Cookery fun with Mr Bloom (Ben Faulks) and Katy Ashworth from CBeebies' I Can Cook!
