The height is set at one level and doesn't adjust but this is fine for both my 3 year old daughter and her 7 year old brother who often borrows it!
Although this doesn't fold down, it easily fits in our car boot without taking up too much room. It's also light to carry round if your little one getting tired of it and hands it over to Mummy or Daddy!
