A sweet treat delivered to my doorstep - Review

Today is my birthday and I have been indulging in some of my favorite sweet treats!

I absolutely adore cherry lips and floral gums, these yummy retro delights remind me of of the carefree days of my childhood excitedly rushing in to our local sweet shop clutching my pocket money and pointing to the highest jar behind the counter to order a mixed quarter of these little pieces of happiness!

Each year as my birthday approaches my lovely hubby searches high and low to find a sweet shop that still sells these almost forgotten sweeties, this year however he was saved that task thanks to Cheshire based online Retro sweetshop The Gobstopper  whose lovely nostalgic website offers pretty much any childhood favorite you can think of and delivers them straight to your home!

As well as an amazing selection of Retro Sweets they offer a Click & Mix experience that allows you to fill a stylish Kilner Jar full to the rim of your choice of sweeties and have them delivered to your door!

Treat yourself and choose 3 different products from their vast selection in a small Jar for just £9.99, share with friends and select 5 in a medium Jar for £17.99, or for a special occasion why not go all out and pick 10 favourites in a large jar for £39.99? Delivery is free when you spend over £25 too!

These would make fabulously different gifts for any occasion!

I was kindly sent a small Jar to review and as well as cherry lips and floral gums after much deliberation I decided to go for Aniseed balls which are another childhood favourite of mine.

My colorful Jar of  nostalgia arrived last week, expertly packaged and well protected. The sweeties are of course delicious and I already have plans for the lovely Kilner Jar when it is empty, (which won't be far away at this rate!).

I'd love to know what your favourite Retro sweet treat is, make my mouth water by commenting below!
