I had been given the amazing opportunity to review a Day Spa Package at the Stunning Sienna Spa Manchester, which is located in the five star Radisson Edwardian Hotel just off Quay street in Manchester City Centre. The location is really central and easy to get to from a number of public transport links.
The Relaxation Room |
I arrived looking a bit damp and windswept to be greeted by the lovely Sarah who made me feel very welcome and led me through to the Relaxation Room, poured me a glass of water and gave me a health questionnaire to complete along with a menu to choose my lunch!
The Lunch Menu |
Although the 'Day Spa Package' did state that a light lunch was included I was expecting this to consist of a sandwich and a bit of salad, but no, I was handed the Room Service Menu to choose from no less than 9 options, two of which were vegetarian! I was impressed already! After pondering for a while I decided on the Greek Salad! Sarah then gave me a tour of the amazing facilities from the well equipped gym, to the stunning pool and Jacuzzi to the extremely inviting sauna and steam rooms! We ended with the changing room and a locker that had been filled with a lovely soft white robe, slippers and a towel for me to use during my visit! The changing room was spacious and clean with lovely large mirrors, hairdryers and ghd's were also supplied. Every little detail was considered!
Female changing Rooms |
After changing out of my Mummy attire and into the soft and fluffy robe and slippers, the lovely Sarah (who is herself soon to become a Mummy!) led me through to the treatment room ready for my facial. She firstly ran through a skin consultation to find out about my skin type and any problem areas or concerns I had before explaining to me what she would do and what products she would use. The only way I can describe the next hour is pure BLISS. I felt like I had been transported to another world where I had no stress or worries. I felt 100% relaxed as my skin was treated to a tailored selection of luxurious pampering products from Comfort Zone my mind drifted away and all my worries and to-do lists disappeared! (for an hour!)
The Treatment Room |
After the amazing treatment had finished and I was coming back down to earth Sarah ran through the products that she'd used, and gave me a personalised recommendation booklet. Although she had marked the prices of some products in case I was interested in purchasing any of them, she did not give it the 'hard sell ' as is often the case after a treatment in some places.
The 12 metre Pool |
After chilling with a glass of water and browsing one of the many glossy magazines on offer in the Relaxation room, I wandered into the sleek and stunning pool room, which offered a 12 metre swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a steam room and a nordic sauna. I was spoilt for choice as to what I should try first! I went for a swim before relaxing in the whirlpool for a while, I then chilled out on the comfortable day beds before entering the steam room. Immediately I was taken aback by the size, it was a lot more spacious than any I have visited previously! I lay down and let the gentle humidity encompass my body while I watched the almost hypnotising 'light show' in the ceiling. The sauna was not disappointing either, although it was slightly smaller than the steam room it was also of a very high standard.
Sauna and Steam Room |
I spent around an hour and a half in this 'wet' area before returning to the relaxation room for my lunch! And what a lunch! A waiter presented me with a table on wheels laid out beautifully and even including a vase and flower! The central focus however was a huge bowl of Greek Salad! I thoroughly enjoyed this lovely mediterranean offering but it was so generously sized that I couldn't quite finish it!
After recovering I returned to the changing rooms again to shower and dress, the shower cubicles were spacious and clean and lovely honey and lemongrass BeeKind Products were provided for use.
I should also mention that Sienna Spa also offers a fully air conditioned gym which features state-of-the-art TechnoGym equipment that all looked very nice (but as my day was for relaxing I decided to give it a miss on this occasion!)
So my day of pampering had come to an end and it was time for me to return to the real world and set off to collect the little ones! I'd had a fabulous day sampling a little bit of luxury and was quite sad it had to end! I had a lovely day and even now two days later I can still feel my skin is softer and looks better than it has in ages!
All of the team at Sienna Spa had been welcoming, friendly and accommodating in everyway! Every last detail was thought of so that from the moment I stepped through the doors I didn't have a care in the world until I left again! I was made to feel truly special and was completely pampered!
The fabulous Sienna Spa offer a number of treatments and packages that can be found on their website www.siennaspa.co.uk.
