My Fairy Garden: Secret Fairy Door Review

Like many children her age, my five year old daughter loves fairies, drawing fairies, sharing stories about fairies, pretending to be a fairy...

So when I told her that a very special little fairy friend would be coming to live in her bedroom she was delighted!

We were sent the brand new My Fairy Door set from Interplay's my fairy garden range. The set comes in beautifully illustrated packaging, is aimed at children aged 4 plus and retails at £17.99.

On opening the box we discovered...

• Fairy Door
• Fairy Figurine
• Hedgehog Figurine
• Fairy Mushroom
• Fairy Tree Wall Sticker
• Set of Repositionable Wall Stickers
• Image of Fairy House Interior
• Fixing Tabs & Sticky Fixers
•12-Page Colour Illustrated Storybook• Door Key with elastic bracelet

At the back of the story book were easy to follow instructions on setting up the fairy door, I loved that these were suitable for my daughter and I to do together, as part of the magical experience.

The Fairy Door comes with two tiny keys and a purple elastic bracelet so that the child can keep one safe by wearing it on their wrist.

The Fairy Door comes with two large repositional wall stickers that make up an illustrated tree. There are an additional four sheets of removable stickers each representing what may be inhabiting the tree in each of the four seasons. Elizabeth decided to decorate it to reflect the current season of spring. She very carefully placed birds, ladybugs, and acorns across tree making it a beautiful addition to her bedroom.

She has stored the other sticker sheets carefully away on her bookcase ready to change them with the seasons and keeps asking me if it's summer yet!

Now we were all set up, it was time to play, we read the book together and then Elizabeth spent ages playing with the fairy and her friend the hedgehog. I love watching her being so imaginative and creating her own little worlds.

At bedtime she insisted we say good night to the fairy and read the story book again!

If you've not yet seen the new 'My Fairy Garden' advert on TV, you can watch it below! Elizabeth loves it and is already saving her pocket money for another set from the range.

Overall I'm really impressed with the Secret Fairy Door set from Interplay, there was a lot more play value than I could have imagined and what you really get is doorway into the the magical world of fairyland, a tool to spark your child's imagination and to teach them about the changing seasons.

The play figures and storybook are a lovely addition to the door and the tree and decorative stickers make a beautiful decoration to any child's bedroom wall.

Secret Fairy Door would make a perfect gift for any fairy loving child and would highly recommend it.
